So 1966 Coronet and 1966-67 Charger front bumpers are the same. 1967 Coronet is the same except with lights added. I noticed that 1966 and 1967 have different part numbers. 1966 2533484 and 1967 2768728 for the right side for comparison purposes. The 1967 bracket is a few inches longer than the 1966. Although the parts book doesn't say I'm thinking the 67 is Coronet only, and longer to accommodate the light wiring.Any other possibilities?

I haven't had a 66 Coronet or Charger to compare, but your reasoning is sound. My thoughts are (no proof) is that the 67 Coronet bumper having parking lights would make the placement of bumper bolts different and the need for a longer bracket.

As it turns out it's an optical illusion. I used a measuring tape and both years measure exactly the same. Got to stop drinking at the shop. At least cut down to a 26er
