It looks like even the car shows on TV are going green with woke BS!

California cant keep the airconditioners and the lights on in the summer, begging residents to turn off lights, set your a/c at 80°, dont use appliances, brownouts and blackouts.
How the f#%k are they gonna charge 20 million electric cars? How about two million? Windmills and solar panels? Good luck with that.

Go Woke, Go Broke.

Car Guys won't watch this BS and the ratings will show that.

Just look at Pro Sports, Hollywood movies and award shows, general public don't like having the Liberal Agenda shoved down your throat while looking for entertainment.

Lately all the car shows on Motor Trend television are about converting cars to electric vehicles. It sucks because it's the only thing I watch on TV. All the other channels are woke bullsh*t and now they are invading the car channels too. It looks like it's over for us! Car Fix is turning a 69 Cougar convertible into a golf cart.
We've seen your stash of cars and project cars...what are you doing watching TV?:poke:
:D

Morons who do the producing of these shows thinks that everybody wants to ditch their internal combustion engines. What the clown eco terrorists do not seem to understand is where is all this extra electricity going to come from? That's right more coal powered plants will be needed, and what happens to all those batteries when their life expectency is up? The eco clowns cannot address that one, or choose not to.

Someone posted a thread recently of an DIY electric converted Dart & it had a range of only 100 miles. WTF good is that?

Read a lengthy article about what the future (and present) entails with battery mfg, recycling, and disposal. It’s not pretty. It’s dangerous and toxic trying to reclaim the useable components of a battery and then what is to be done with most of the battery that is a compilation of highly toxic materials. A mass of **** having gone through an acid or burning process. Where’s all this stuff to be dumped? Burning sounds like an air pollution issue and acid dips leave a lot of spent toxic waste. The numbers of electric vehicles to enter in the next several years are staggering compared to today. What consumption of energy and what form of it is required to build millions of these huge batteries?

How long will these batteries have a reasonable-useful life? If one garners 300 miles new before a charge; what might a three or 4 year old battery retain…I’d kind a doubt it would still have 300 miles. Get a new batt? From what I’ve read, that’s not an inexpensive or even worthy effort. I've driven many of my vehicles for 10 years and have others that are 15 years old. Part of the overview is how batteries, if they’re broken in a crash, can create a volatile spew of deadly toxins, fire, and explosion. This in its current realm…is a green dream?

What’s the saying? Cart in front or behind the horse?
I'm agreeing with Ron H ? What the hell ??

Car shows have Model A's and Model T's and very few have the original 4 cylinder engine still running in them. The purists were likely screaming when V8's started being put in them. Electrifying Muscle Cars was bound to happen. My 69 has modern 5.7 and is not liked by the purists. Try to appreciate the workmanship and quit marking trees.

That's just it. The aristocrat class will have no problem. They will tell us to eat cake. We all know how that went.

Not my show! (Roadkill Garage)...last one I saw they got Dulcich's 318-powered Chrysler Conqueror boat back in the water, in all it's open-exhaust water-polluting glory.
Fluids routinely get spilled on the ground, they wash themselves in Brakleen.....and they're Mopar guys at heart. What's not to like!:D:D
To me, Roadkill Garage is by far the best show on TV (car or otherwise). Those two make a great duo. And like you said, bh, Mopar guys to boot.

In the early 1900s there was an uproar by the horse and buggie crowd how they will never give up their pony for any devil created mechanical machine. Did the advancement of mechanical travels kill off the horse trade? Nope.

Many sound as ridiculous as the buggie crowd. You can't stop progress. And green energy is the future. We can either lead? Or watch the US slip to 2nd, 3rd or even lower on the technological and economic fronts.

But electric cars are no good right now because they take forever to charge...
The gasoline car had an advantage over the horses.

How did the green energy thing work out for Texas? Windmills, solar, and chanting to the sun gods is not sustainable when energy demand increases during weather extremes.

Not at first they didn't. But they advanced.

Someday people will be saying "Back in the old days they actully burned toxic fossil fuels and just released its byproducts into the environment. Dad? Were we really that unsophisticated?

LMAO. Are you kidding? Their failure was/is due to old technology. Their entire grid is 3rd world.

It's really not a worthy debate subject. Green energy doesn't mean the end of classic car ownership. In fact, it will just make them more nostalgic.

Electric cars? **** that! Converting a classic Mopar to battery powered = Not my thing AT ALL.

Just dig another hole with your big diesel powered equipment and bury the problem! It’s something we seem to do well. Take those dirty batteries with them , and the radioactive waste from the nuke plant and tell everyone it’s safe and ok . But let’s put a park on top of it. Our forefathers were ahead of the time and stated they weren’t a good idea and inefficient .. it hasn’t changed in reality just folks are looking thru rose colored glasses and a dime bag with a bong nearby aids the messed up thoughts.

Went to a enduro race today. My nephew and his son. We talked about electric bikes. Dave said screw that. The engine noise, vibration, smell etc is a big part of the attraction.

We need to get Musk to use a few of his rockets to send his old batteries, and some nuclear waste, to mars. Maybe the chinese there can figure out what to do with it.

Since electric cars are our future, might I ask how far along are you with converting the GTX in your avatar to electric power?
