I made a car dolly based on some plans I found, and now I need to support the car up while I move it underneath and fasten the bottom of the car to it. For a short time I will put the floor jacks on some thick wood I have to lift the car up, but what can I put the stand jacks on to support the car while I slide my dolly underneath? No engine, or transmission, or rear end or front end in place, so it’s just the body, some glass, and interior parts in boxes.
I likely won’t have much pounds, but I read that cylinder blacks and wood are no good since they can shatter. 36” high. Thanks

bolt something to the bumper mount holes on the frame rails and pick it up with an engine hoist

my rotisserie brackets are about a foot long, I bolt them on and just wrap a chain around them...... but yeah. like that ^^^^^^^

Did it! Floor jacks, blocks, engine hoist, prayers and a quick escape if needed!

please be careful..... that looks kind of sketchy

I would have cut /extended it

I strapped the car down to the dolly, and have been moving it around. Opened a door, and it didn’t even creak. Stronger than floor jacks I think.

Just remember that anything you bolt onto the car ( rear end, motor, suspension ) will change the balance considerably.
