a buddy was at a hotel with big dance hall up in Muskoka on a weekend one hot summer nite in 1973 and when he came out at 1 am some one had jacked up the car and took the 4 speed and shifter . people walking by thought it was owner with trans trouble . one RR went home on the hook that nite . he never got it back . But the up side was they didnt get the car .

What would really suck is to have the transmission in one's car? My GTX is D32 code. Thus supposed to be an automatic. I only know last 25 years of car's history. The man who assembled the car? (From what I can see? From at least 2 GTX and one Sport Satilite.) Died 5+ years ago. I never met him.
But I will check production number. I know the odds are VERY long. But again, the transmission came from somewhere?
