Lars and Abdul.
Story about Abdul. He was a late night Track guy. One night in downtown San Jose, there was a scooter locked to a power pole and interfering with a cut out switch mounted there. There was nearby Bar, crowded, loud music etc. i wanted to give the owner a chance to get it before I cut off the lock and took it in to lost and found. I didn’t want to go in alone so I convinced Abdul to go in with me. He agreed only of he didn’t have to say anything. We went in and located the owner. RIP Gentleman. VTA needs to start hiring. A LOT of talent was lost yesterday.

It sucks when people are having issues but it does not condone lashing out to others around you and getting results like this. Way too much anger, jealousy, thin skin etc out in the world. For sure this kind of problem didn't happen years ago. Maybe we are getting too sensitive? Don't know the answer to that. It makes me wonder how widespread this is going to be in the years to come with the current younger crowd when they can't handle anything. My condolences to you Dennis for the loss of your friends/coworkers and this happening in your old workplace.

Just horrible!!! These killings are getting more and more prevalent these days. Sadly they are mostly due to Mental issues and it isn't the gun at all!! days.
Although my heart breaks for you, the families, every innocent being harmed or lost....
I am thankful to you for bringing it to our attention and more importantly, being the best of souls in
bearing witness to the men you knew in the best of lights.
Thank you for that; it has to be nearly impossible for you to do so right now, if ever.

Among the deceased at my former employer were 2 guys I worked closely with for about 27 years. TIM ROMO was an overhead line/power supervisor and a good guy. Another was Lars. To know this happened makes my heart ache. Tim and I worked many critical incidents together. You could not ask for a more competent or gutsy pro to work with. We got the job done. Please pray for the families.

I knew Tim Romo as Cowboy Tim as he often wore a Cowboy hat. Him and Lars were my go to coworkers whenever the heat was on. They helped provide and restore vital service under the most difficult circumstances. Dedicated to Public Service and good at what they did.
