Mark Worman: "67 GTX and 67 Coronet R/T look like an ugly crapbox"

I saw one episode where he and Tony were going over a 64 Sport Fury 383 convertible sitting in his yard, I guess awaiting restoration. Tony was explaining to him all the unique and original points of the car and Worman professed to being pretty much completely ignorant of details of models earlier than 68 models. So yeah, if your interests go to models earlier than 68 B-bodies he’s got nothing for you.

Worman can blow me. He doesn't know squat about pre-'68 B-body cars...or any A- or C-body cars.

To paraphrase the little munchkin, he said "GTX's don't do it for him", followed shortly after by
"they're ugly, like Royal's shitbox '67 R/T" or some such.
I've never found the man funny or entertaining or heck, even tolerable.
Perhaps he's better off-screen - but I doubt it.

I have no intentions of ever owning another B body after my 1969 Sport Sat convertible except for one exception, that being a 67 GTX.
So anybody who says they are ugly or less desirable, a "crapbox", id say is talking out their A-hole, and would do better not to knock anyones pre 68

I like this car. A pair of black hood & trunk strips would really make it look sharp.

That there's darn purdy.

Factory red and white int option?

I've seen that in 68, and suspected it might have been available in 67, but didn't have evidence.

...or blue.

I love an R/W/B Mopar.

I got me one of them there effing ugly 66 cars too! Not everyone gets to take the prom queen to the prom! I do because I got second generation Chargers, but I had to take the ugly little sister along to the prom too! Lol You know what they say about opinions, and Mark's really stinks!

You also know what they say about the not quite as hot sisters.

Y'all caught that he wasn't really calling the cars ugly - just Royal's, right?

I'll never get why some mopar guys just hate 66-67 chargers and 73-74 roadrunners. I think they are some of mopar's best body styles.

I'm stuck with one leg on each side of the fence on this particular comment. I absolutely love '66 & '67 Chargers. Their electroluminescent instrument clusters are a sight to behold while driving at night. Conversely, not a fan of the '73 & '74 RRs...and I am and always have been a diehard RR fan... However, if I had a gun to my head and had to choose between a '73 RR and a '73 beak-nosed Dart...that RR is coming home with me... :D

"Eye of the beholder" is an argument that just isn't worth having. My old crowd that we still get together consists of 6 Chevy guys, myself as the lone Mopar guy. And one Ford guy. (We think he was abused or something.) He has had some God awful ugly Fords in his tenure. And I nod my head politely and say. "That's cool." But my inside voice is screaming. "Did Ford purposefully make their cars as ugly as possible?" I can see the same look on the Chevy guys faces too. On the plus side? He does like the Mopars better than Chevy. (Ford/Chevy hatred runs deep. Lol)

To this day I tease my Chevy friends when looking my Mopars. I see the look in their eyes. I would say. "Its kinda like the hot gal you really want. But are too cheap to ask out?" (They hate that one.) Their best comeback to that? "I can build 2 Nova's for the price of one of your GTX?" Yup. You sure can Skippy. Because the world certainly needs another Nova!

My friend has ten of those 66/67 Chargers he loves them. He has a 66 Hemi Charger, three 67 L code 440 Magnum cars, two are automatic cars, one is a 4 speed, and about a half dozen 383 cars.

My biggest issue with the 66/67 Charger is that I absolutely LOVE the 66/67 Coronet roof line.

Guess I need one (or more) of each.
