The Carlisle 2021 thread

Still not registered. Any inside Baseball or phone number?

Is there anything set up to paypal you something to help defray costs or will it be through the donation box at the show only?

I had really only planned to have a donation box at the show for the tent cost. The lunch thing is just something I wanted to do and really wasn't looking to get reimbursed.

A couple of other kind members have offered to donate some via PayPal. I feel weird taking money from folks since (a) I really don't know what my total costs will be and (b) I was just looking to do this as a fun get together. So far it is small and manageable.

So first off, to you and the other kind members who have offered: Thank you! I truly appreciate the gesture. For now, let's just stick with the donation box. This way, if I make a shitty burger you aren't out anything!!!

Hey, I have an extra room available at The Red Roof Inn in Carlisle, if anyone needs it.
It’s reserved at $416
Check in Thurs July 8
Check out Sun July 11

Anyone from NE Oklahoma driving there with room in their truck / trailer for a couple boxes of parts on the return trip? We're flying there for our first Carlisle and I'm hoping to bring back a cache of switches and small items (nothing larger than a B body radio).
In the past we have loaded up a couple of suitcases for the return flight, and are planning on that again. But those were general swap meets. where MoPars are few and far between.

Or you can have a trusted member send them back for you VIA USPS Flat rate boxes...

Once the preregistration deadline is passed on June 7th, the show field is pretty much locked in knowing an expected car count. The Carlisle staff then is able to determine an approximate needs for each class and then determine the best placement of the various tents. The electronic on line Event Guide is finalized at that time for printing and will be made available for on line viewing. Once I hear or see the assigned location of the FBBO tent, I will post the actual spot number to make it easier in locating the tent.

I hope to be there again with the Max. I will be in spaces H90, 91, 92 on the corner. I will try to divide my time between the spaces and the car. Generally I park Max at the space at night so you guys who can't get to the show can see him then. I am not sure what I am bringing right now. I mostly have C Body and Imperial but I really don't know. I will be at the tent at Saturday noon! @chooch Yeah, maybe the only one on the field again!

Let me know when the first credentials arrive in the mail from Carlisle Events for participants. Flying out the 22nd. Need them before then. Thanks.

Should we bring our own Sharpies?
I'm practicing right now.
What do you think?

I don't know about the rest of those registered, but that may be too late for you Dennis.
I usually get mine 7 -10 days before the event. It always makes me nervous that they don't start it earlier. I don't know if you can call and request it earlier? Or pick up at the will call. I'd give it a try, if nothing else- bring proof of your registration.

@Dennis H, I would reach out to the Carlisle staff and ask them to put your paperwork and tickets on will call as @moparwacko suggested. The vendor registration paper work goes out first as they typically start arriving as early as the Monday of the show week. Then the regular show field registration paper work will be sent out. With the USPS still being shaky on delivery speeds and delays, it would be a risk especially going to the West Coast. I believe that they actually have a window set up for Will Calls to expedite the process vs standing in line for regular registration.
