Why I only have one car.

I might get to go to a cruise this weekend, (one where they actually drive the cars). I figured I better get the car cleaned up. So I spent 5 hours cleaning and polishing and I’m about half way done. Plus there’s checking fluids, tires, belts and hoses....I’m always finding other cars I’d like to have but can’t figure out how anybody maintains more than one car, who has the time? (I’m starting to understand the appeal of rat rods)

Should try keeping a motorcycle clean along with the cars lol I do not have a bike anymore but I also have three trucks.....

Amen. Been thinking about this a lot lately. I’m neck deep in 2 major projects. Prepping another to sell in order to thin the heard and finance the others. And the 4th car needs some work that going to open a can of worms- which is the only reason I haven’t started it.
Its self-inflicted stress sometimes.

Maintenance time keeps me from getting another, but couldn’t imagine life without having one. I’m only planning on keeping this one til I die.

The car never gets a detail, just a wipedown every so often. The bike gets simple green n pressure washer about every 6 months.

Agree w/ the OP. It can be quite a chore to keep up with multiple vehicles. Once that Florida summertime humidity rolls in that just about kills any motivation that I might otherwise have...

I don't know how I did it
3,4,5 cars & several trucks, Jeep at a time
trailers, race-trailers & horse-trailer, racecars,
dirtbikes & quads, Boat etc.
But, when the kids were around
I'd almost always have a helper or 2 to do the cleaning
usually 'a prior to the weekend, clean-athon'
sometimes on Wed. before I'd head out, roadtrip...

I was a stickler about the tow-rig, trailer & racecars, Lisa's Horse Trailer
kept clean & shiny...
Kids would do their own too...
Lisa did the animals & her Supra...

I have 2 4x4 trucks DD's, a travel trailer, my RR & a boat
lil' trailer, seems I'm always cleaning something

I don't know how I had the energy
or the willpower to do all of it before, even with the help

I have 2 E bodies, 2 B bodies and an A body along with a 10 Challenger RT and a 01 Viper. Both Bs and the A need to be built but once done (or perhaps I will sell the A) I intend to rotate them through the shop one by one fixing, cleaning, improving on each. I will work on which ever one talks to me at that moment.

I hear ya! I got tired just reading it!! I had the same thing going on years ago, only difference was, half of it was a 150 miles away. When I was young I worked from sun up to sun down. I use to make fun of older people for saying, I'm done, now I get it.
