Just joined here. I need someone's help . I have a 65 coronet 500 that is in the middle of restoration and I have an issue with the trim on the front fenders. I will call the trim spears which are pop metal anyway there are (3) three inserts which are painted. My question are the inserts painted black or red/white/blue? I have searched hundreds of pics and found both..What is the difference and what is correct? Thanks

Welcome from Alabama. A 65 Coronet, I know we would all like to see pictures of your project and the parts in question. I don't know the answer, but Chrysler did a lot of red/white/blue back then.

Welcome from Missouri!! I like 65 Coronets!!

Welcome. You might get a answer sooner if you post your question in the body section with the question in the title. (65 Coronet trim paint) or the like.

My 1st car was a '65 Coronet 500, original survivor back in the '70s. The trim detail was black on the pot metal pieces, with the "500" detailed in Gold...

Welcome from Indiana. I’m thinking black, but I’d like pictures if the specific pieces to know better.
