Correct oil pan for SB to BB swap in 67 Belvedere ll

I'm sure this has been done 100 times by members on this site. 273/383 swap in a 67 Belvedere ll using Schumacher type mounts and original k-member. BB 727 replaces the original 904.
Questions are-
1. Which would be the correct oil pan to clear steering linkage, etc?
2. What was your fix at the trans mount? It seems that there is about a 4" difference in mount locations between the 2 transmissions. Any help would be appreciated.

On a "B" body, you won't have much trouble.... pretty much any passenger car pan, meaning mid sump or Milodon/Moroso pan is going to work out OK..... Of course, Ive not tried them all by any means. The "A" body swaps are the ones where you get a lot closer to issues with steering linkages, and even the supposed perfect fit pans with idler notch, etc. can cause issues where you have to find just the right idler, pitman, drag link, etc. I would probably try a '187 pan for your application if you are sticking with original factory parts. I know you can still get the right oil pickup tube for that one brand new from Mancini as well. HTH, Lefty71

187 will absolutely work, but those are in demand by the BB A body crowd, as the 402 is not nearly as good a fit for that application.

Usually priced accordingly.

I would go to local parts store get 1 for your car for 727. I did the swap a couple of years ago but my car came with a 727, as far as oil pans any big block car pan should work

Another note I noticed Schumacher website says there out of stock on there motor mounts so if you don't have any check the for sale section someone might have some
 
If your 727 is 66 up, there is no difference in the trans mount. It is in the same position as the 904 and uses the same rubber mount. Your drive shaft will not work however.

Some of the things I had to do in case you weren't aware of as mentioned above driveshaft, extra length wire for the distributor because now it up front, motor mounts as you know, not sure if you will be using headers but a Dakota starter (not necessary but since you have it out why not) possible radiator because of what side the waterpump outlet is on and depending on usage of the car and power steering if you are running that

Found some on Ebay. Hope the quality is OK. I tried Classic too, but they didn't even answer their phone. I was on hold forever.
 
The coil wire on a 67 Plymouth comes out of the harness on the middle of the valve cover and you can reach a coil in the front or rear position. They already thought of this for us.
 
U just need a 66 up tranny mount, engine brackets and rubber mounts. U don’t need any special swap mounts. Most oil pans will work. It’s a very easy swap. U will need to shorten ur drive shaft approximately 4 inches. Kim
