Vertigo

Just saw a new doctor for the first time on Tuesday and my dizziness was talked about and she explained what might be going on but didn't mention the Epley maneuver. Going to give that a shot the next time I experience it.
That’s what seemed to really help my Dad was that exercise maneuver
Hope that helps you out with your dizziness

Thank you all for your concern. I have already done a round of exercises as suggested by post # 4. I talked to a buddy yesterday that had the same experience a while back. He said that when he got to the hospital, the emergency doctor did a couple of turns of his head, and he felt better immediately. In retrospect, I am puzzled why my doctor would not know this procedure.
The first doctor i went immediately prescribe me a stroke in the middle ear??? Wtf !!! I went to another doctor and do yo me the same exercise as your buddy, the relief was immediately, see another doctor an Specialist in ear trhoat and nose.

This is what my doctor did to me, you can do it without the help of another person.

Sir my thoughts are with you. Two years ago I fell, it knocked me out. Next thing I knew, I was in an ambulance on my way to the E.R. I Woke up once on the trip when I heard my wife’s voice. The f**king doctor never even X-rayed for concussion or whiplash. I didn’t even become aware of anything until about 15 minutes before we left. She said I was answering all the questions and my heart checked out. I had filled a barf bag in the ambulance according to my wife. Next day vertigo was vicious. I missed a month of work, I could hardly move my head. Next trip was to Mayo for test. Those procedures shown do work. I still get it and my neck is still messed up. The Doc there asked why I wasn’t admitted. I was supposed to know that. Just be careful and very conscious of what you’re doing and take care!

Get well soon.

I got it in my late 30's after diving into the bottom of the swimming pool several times clearing sticks out of the main drain. (inner ear disturbance)
Sucked, couldn't walk for a couple of days, couldn't drive for a week.
Doc gave me something that made it better petty quick (little white pill) don't remember.

Could have been Meclizine.... Script only...... Dramamine works in a pinch.

A friend of mine is a chiropractor. I am gong to see him shortly for him to do a routine with me.I was still kind of wobbly yesterday. Thanks for your good wishes.

My wife and i go to see this woman who specializes in Bowen treatment, sort of a touch therapy, which has helped us a great deal. I swear she knows more about general health than most doctors that specialize. My wife was having vertigo issues and the lady says it’s crystals. What? Something to do with the inner ear. She did a series of message and movement kind of like on those pictures and she was better right away. Look up crystals and vertigo.

That's what my chiropractor friend mentioned: crystals. I see him in about an hour.

That sucks! I’ve had tinnitus for about 20 years. I got a concussion last year playing hockey and suffered through post-concussion syndrome which I think I still have, although not as severe. If I sit for long periods and don’t have enough fluids I get real dizzy when I stand. Not a good feeling. My doctor also mentioned crystals in the ear canal that can get disturbed after an impact and screw up balance, etc.

I just got back from my chiropractor friend's a while ago. He performed the Epley Maneuver on me,but I did not exhibit any dizziness. He thinks that by me doing the exercises at home yesterday helped me.
