Adjusting Vacuum Advance on Distributor Question

I have a adjustible vac.advance question: How far will the Internal hex head turn out (counter clock wise) I turned it CC 15 times and get clicks,has it reached it's end of travel ?

Remember that just adjusts the rate of advance not the total advance.

Thanks for the Info. I was getting some pinging on a rebuilt Dist.The setting on the V.A. was a quarter turn out .I turned it out a few turns and the pinging stopped.I am still 'Fine Tuning".

Probably coming in to fast. That al the way in takes allot of vacuum to move it. Or I should say CCW. If it is a store bought check the curve it is usually in the middle of a ten year spread.
