1973. High school, the Army and Viet Nam where all behind me, as well as my (1st) '69 Road Runner. Hot pants where all the rage and I was still single. What more could a guy ask for?

1973, my aunt through me a 16th birthday party at a local restaurant, see how damn happy I was!

@Under Pressure : I would be "damn happy" , NOT, wearing plaid pants & a turtleneck!! DAMN!! Our "style" SUCKED back then!! 73 was 9, plaid pants & stripe shirt, hair on my sholders, HELP!!! Dad & mom had a taxi co., 67 Fury 1 & 111s with dad's 66 Polara police interceptor as cabs; kept them clean & learned backyard mechanics.

Junior in high school, just picked up my 73 Lincoln mercury capri from the dealer. Wow, haven't thought of that in years. Sold my 71 van to buy it. I still miss my van to this day, it was totally done!! Hippie to the max. Thanks for the trip back, I needed that! If you look closely you can see the front of my 67 red dart.

I love that Capri

I wasn't born yet but even the 80's were great minus the crappy cars lol.

Built in Germany, V6 2600, 4 speed, dual exshaust. 3500 hundred dollars new in 1973. 140 mph and would take a beating few cars would stay together afterwards. It was fun till it had to go.

A guy in the town I grew up in had a Capri. He swears he would still be driving it to day had it not rotted away after 300k miles

In ’73 still had my ’67 GTO vert I bought in my jr in HS in ‘72. (Sometime in ’73 I bought a ‘70 Cuda vert). The summer I had that goat is burned in my head, hot nights with the top down, the drive-in’s we still had, outdoor theater, swimming at lake a bud’s folks had property on, dating a couple of gals (one was a twin and they liked to play games on occasion switching off when I’d pick the one up I was dating to see how long it took me to realize the scam, lol.) They were born in Sweden and had the hint of an accent that was ahh…a rise. And damn – no photos of those cars I wish I had too.

Let's see.. 1985. This was the summer that the guy moved in across the street. That guy happened to own the Hemi GTX that I absolutely fell in love with. It was also the same car that I would buy from him 33 or so years later.
