Today l took my car to a Government weigh scale to verify it's weight for a modified collector plate. I was hoping my car would of come in lighter than it did. It's a 1962 Plymouth Savoy with a 440, 727 auto and I've tried to trim as much weight as possible where l could. It has a alumimium rad, water pump and housing, no heater, radio, etc, poly bucket seats, no back seat with light weight underlay and carpets but it has a 6 point roll cage. My car weighed in at 3423 pounds with 10 to 12 gals. gas. Post your car's weight if you've had it weighed. This might be interesting

Years ago I had my 67 coronet with a 440 weighed. 3610 lbs with me in the car. Full interior. Be nice to know what it weighs now.

1965 Plymouth Valiant four-door sedan 273 V-8, no heater/no radio/no power steering/no power brakes (8 3/4 rear, four-speed, headers, aluminum intake, scattershield, frame connectors): 2960 pounds.

My 63 Sport Fury is a 440/493 with a 727 and 8-3/4 rear. Full stock body car and everything is all there. Still has the heater box in it and all stock glass. I added frame connectors and a 6 point rollbar. With stock gas tank 3/4 full it goes right at 3700 lbs without me in the car. Ron

Took my GTX up to the local grain elevator and she said it weighs 4200lbs with me in it

My '65 Coronet was down to 3350 with all steel body, fully gutted interior, no carpet, 1 plastic seat, 6 PT bar(VERY HEAVY), gutted doors w/ plastic windows, 125# battery in the trunk, no alt, alum WP housing, all iron 440 w/ tunnel ram.

Edit: Dana 60, Centerline wheels, gutted dash, no heater.

I love finding out what the real weight of these cars are as compared to the advertised weights. To be as accurate s possible list the weight of your car without you in it or say what you weigh, we don't know if your'e 110 pounds or 450 lbs.

I know this is 62-65 Mopars but for reference my 66 Satellite, 318 poly, 727, 14" Magnum 500's, Full Street trim except no heater box or spare wheel/jack was 3,640 lbs, no driver and full tank of fuel.

65 Belvedere I, 2 door Post car, all steel body, slant six, automatic, full bench seat interior, all factory glass, radio, heater, spare tire, steel wheels, 1/2 tank of gas, no driver
weighed in at 3200lbs
I haven't weighed it yet in "race trim", but I estimate it to be around 2750lbs now. Once it is complete, I'll weigh it again.

Strangely enough, mine weighs about what yours does. I have a 62 savoy with a 440,727, 8 3/4, with a cordoba radiator, aluminum water pump and housing, no heater, radio, etc. poly bucket seats, lightweight carpet, no back seat, with an eight point bar with homemade frame connectors.
If i remember right, (it was several years ago) mine was just over 3300, but i dont remember which wheels or exhaust it had on it at the time.
Whatever it is now, i know i can take almost 150lbs out of it by changing the street tires on steelies, and the 3 1/2 exhaust to header muffs and lightweight race wheels and tires.
With the steelies, and 3 1/2 to the bumper, im pretty sure mine is 3450

Anybody weighed a first gen Charger? I have a feeling mine is up around 4000 pounds.

63 fury no heat, 2 A100 seats, no back seat, 6 point roll bar, iron block 500 inch MW, Dana 60, 12 gal fuel cell, glass hood and bumpers, frame ties, full door panels and carpet, headliner, and all original stainless trim, 3250 lbs.

66 here too....Belvedere I 2dr post, glass hood, no front bumper 2 buckets seats from a Duster, no back seat, trimmed inner door sheet metal, removed undercoating. /6 auto with 8 3/4, Factory AC still on the car 2950 no driver. Car was 3370 before working on it. Now it has trimmed down K-frame, door hinges and many other mods. IIRC, took 10 lbs off of K frame. Lots of fasteners have been modified too but don't have weights on that. Door hinges are almost 1/2 of original weight.....

I'd say most cara as delivered, were above the advertised weights, some well above.

69 Charger pro street, factory glass, 10pt cage, back half, all steel except hood, steel bumpers, 440 aluminum heads and intake, full tank of gas (15 gallon cell). 3621.

I switched to an aluminum hemi, GERST suspension, light brakes, but haven't reweighed the car. Curious to see how much weight it lost.

‘69 six pack super bee, no heater, no radio, bench, 4-speed, 3490

My 65 500, 440/727/ac/ 1/2 tank of fuel/me out of it, it was 3941.
