what would yall do
Dated a much younger girl for the past 7 years. She broke it off. Broke my heart. We had a Hawaii vacation in the works. She's says she will still go, and give the complete girlfriend experience. But there is NO chance of getting back together after we get back. She claims she still loves me, but wants to date guys her age.
What would yall do? Take her, or go alone?
I can't get my money back on plane fare, but if I don't take her, I'd save a ton of money by less spending while I'm there. But the money isn't that big of a deal to me.

Would you rather have one last fling with her...knowing it's the last.
Or begin the healing process now?
 
Lots of pretty girls would love to go to Hawaii, even with an old duffer like you. All you have to do is find one.
 
If you take her it’s just going to mess with your head the whole time you’re there. You really won’t be able to enjoy the trip. The whole trip will be a reminder of what you don’t have anymore...I’d rather go alone than have her go and be reminded the entire time of it being over....just my opinion though.
 
Get some hookers & cocaine take them to hawaii have fun then send her all the dirty detailed photos...

I agree.

Hell, just walk into a ROOM and ask. Doesn't have to be a romantic trip. Got a buddy who fishes or dives or surfs who'd never make the trip on their own? Do you 'owe' anybody one for a good deed in the past? Pay it forward.

But yeah...move on. She doesn't deserve a free trip to the islands. And - trust me - that flight is looooooooooooooooooooooooooonnng.

Go. Take a friend. Have fun. If you want it to be a fling...meet someone THERE.
 
Had an old guy walk up behind me in North Alabama one time with flowers in his hand. He says to me its his anniversary. I said how long have you been married he said 30 years. He said he took her to Hawaii for their honey moon. He said for the 30th he was going back to get her. LOL

Take your best buddy with you , hit the beach and bars.you might find those tiki girls and get lucky.​
 
thanks guys. I guess I know the right answer, just don't want to execute. Also, I am staying with my brother, he lives there, so I won't be vacationing alone either way
 
I agree don’t take her. It will mess with your head. Consider the vacation a clean start to a new chapter. Take a buddy and move on with your own terms. I hope you enjoy yourself! Mike.
 
I know it's a kick in the teeth, but it sounds like it was never as good as you thought it was. Leave her at home.
