Yes but it takes less fuel to charge per mile than used in internal combustion. It's still a win. Not the best optics I agree. It's about efficiency. I'm sorry. Even with the advancements with internal combustion. I'm not sure what you are fighting?
The electric car never erases the carbon footprint it takes to mine and produce the batteries, not to mention the Superfund cleanup sites that are left behind by the mining for the materials that will never be cleaned up as those countries don't have an EPA to enforce any cleanup whatsoever. Add that to the fact that they require charging which are not zero emissions as they are claiming. At the end of the day, it's all about feeling like they are making a difference, and they are not! They might have you fooled but they are not fooling me!
