Looking for a nice used input shaft. 1970 B-body trans with the low 1st gear 2.65.
 
Thought I might get one a bit less expensive than Brewers.


Good luck! I couldn't find any anywhere until they started producing them. If they have an original, that's not easy to find.

Yeah I will just have to bite the bullet and order it with the rebuild kit. I have a machine shop that might be able to weld and machine it. Shaft has been cut but other than that it is good. We will see how much they want and make a decision from there. Thanks anyway.

My original was damaged and multiple shops warned against repairing it - they couldn't guarantee it wouldn't fail and it's too much to risk, in my opinion. How much are you really going to save?
 
I have a 21 tooth pilot shaft that has only been used by the dealership as an alignment tool. Slight discoloration and scale. $200 plus shipping.
