What depth is an original 727 pan? Is there a matching alloy pan with the same depth? I dont want it to hang to low =P

One inch. I dont know if anyone makes a stock depth alloy pan.

You could get a plus four quart pan and and a filter extension..... your transmission will love you for it, and it wont hang down too low.

U got a link for a good one? =D

I had my best luck with a B&M pan which would now come from Holley, but I cant vouch for the quality now. I can tell you the Speedmaster pan is pretty much junk, and you will need to source proper allen head bolts, and you may need to actually elongate holes and such, just to mount it up.... Also, I would test the drain plug before putting it on the vehicle as well. My next one, I will probably try B&M again, hoping its the old castings, unless someone here says otherwise. Good Luck, Lefty71
