Working in my shop today and went in the attic to get something and found this. I was wondering where this part was. The quickest way to find something is to buy another one. Lol

You got that right! Works almost every time! ruffcut

The best way to find something is to look for something else.

And as soon as you DON'T need that thing you were looking for, or bought another one, it will magically appear somewhere you already looked.

Why is it you find things in the last place you look?? Wouldn't it be faster to look there in the 1st place?? Saves ya a lot of aggrevation & time dont ya know!!!

It seems the more expensive the part is, the quicker you locate it after you buy a new one.

I just found a new moulded hood insulation pad. I don't Remember buying it? It sucks getting old!

Yep, you have to get up there and do inventory every now and then. You never know what you may find.

Not only that, but be careful what you throw away. I am the master of holding onto something for years and then throwing it away a week before I need it.

Same - same. More I try to 'organize' worse it gets. 90% of the chit I've got laying around I will never use; except the 10% of the stuff I'll get rid of IS what I may need!

I have been finding all kinds of parts in my loft that I don't remember buying and have bought more because I thought that I still needed to get them. Maybe when the beers start flowing at Carlisle, I go on a buying spree and forget what I already bought the year before. Anyway the best solution is to have several of the same cars,so all the extra parts that I don't remember buying will be used! It seems to work for me! Lol

I know what you mean! My friend was putting in a new gas tank and was going to get the J hooks, so I told him don't bother, I found three sets in my stash already. :)

Works for me on my 66-67 B bodies. If you need it once you will probably need it on the next one.

If you find it in the first place you look it becomes the last.

@Slap Stick : THAT'S my point, being funny at also reflecting on "...where the hell did I put that!!...." ie: GETTING OLD!!!
