For those who may be looking for one, I just saw a youtube video for this Little Red Express truck, it is for sale in Staunton, Illinois which is a little N.E. of St. Louis, at Country Classic Motors asking $21,950

Thanks for sharing.

It is funny and mostly typical of a car/truck for sale at a dealers yard....the level of detail seems to tail off dramatically after the exterior paint is all buffed up. The interior was quite shabby with loads of easily removable dust still present....door squeaked when opened, and clunked horribly when closed. Shifter handle is rusty, and there is at least one huge speaker cut-out in the driver door...presumably the same on the passenger door.

Just because the Dealer or Salesman consistently says "It's nice"...doesn't mean that it is actually that.

Not a bad truck as a starting point for a thorough restoration all the same. :)

No problem.
Yes, you’d think a dealer trying to sell a vehicle would give some attention to the interior.

Sorry, I put the ad in the wrong forum, I didn’t read the suggestions on posting sale ads of others. I figured those trucks are rare and someone here may be interested. Thanks.

There was one at a dealer near Pittsburgh, wanted close to $30k. Beautiful truck until you opened the hood. I've seen better looking engines in junkyards.

Lately the LRTs are starting to bring some strong money. I have a 78 and a 79,both are solid trucks that need restoration. The 78 runs and is all matching numbers, with 61,000 miles on it. The 79 needs mechanical and cosmetic restoration. I should probably sell both of them and buy a nice driver quality one.

Love to have a LRE or a Warlock, but two toy cars that sit half the year are enough.

Saw a LRT in corner display in the showroom of a new Toyota Dealership during my last trip to Juneau, Alaska (took a 4Runner in for inspection). The LRT belonged to the owner of the dealership (a Mopar fan). He popped the hood and surprised the hell out of me when I found he had transplanted an old school crate 426 Hemi engine!

I have a 5.7 Hemi engine and a 5 speed automatic transmission that I am considering putting in the 79 LRT. I am also keeping an eye out for an early nineties two wheel drive Cummins Ram 12 valve that I can swap the drive train into the 79 LRT.
