About to start on one today. Anyone install one and how did it go? Sound?

Not to bad. Had to cut a couple of pieces but fit ok for what it is.
I used dynomax muff and there was enough pipe without to much mods. Also added flanges after the mufflers so I could take the exhaust apart a section at a time...... Like a clutch or fuel pump.

Was the cutting because of the flanges you put in taking up space?

That and they left extra for header connection and tail pipes.

I threw one in a 73 some time back. They must have had some wrong pipes in there because there was no combination of the pipes that would even come close to fitting. I was able to do good job with a little extra spare pipe I had. I still thought it was decently bent up and worth the money.

Did you use anything from the factory hanger setup or locations, or did you drill through the floor under the seats for the hanger bolts?

i used a 2.25” aluminized steel universal kit from summit on a 66 with 440cu/tko500 combo and exhaust exit just before rear axle. had all the shapes needed to complete and welds nice.

Nice. Just to putt around for a min I took the rear extensions and put them on the collectors then put the mufflers on. The rear extension actually clears the crossmember better on drivers side than the pipe made for that spot. It sounds good thus far with just that. I have other stuff to do for now so it will suffice for the time being
