Hi, I have a 66 Coronet and I'm converting the front to disc brakes.
Parts from Right Stuff.
The original master cylinder is a single bowl. Four mounting bolt holes and two additional holes for the diamond shaped support for the pedal push rod.
The new MC does not have the two holes for the pedal push rod.
Tech support at Right Stuff said that with the new adjustable push rod and the new MC the diamond shaped rod support is not needed.
I guess that I'm looking for verification to what they told me.
Thanks

This is like asking a Walmart cashier if the Doctor prescribed the right medicine !!

If the piston and the pushrod have the groove for the rubber retaining ring, and it is installed correctly, you will be fine.

I was not talking about what you had, I was talking about what you new parts should have. If the new pushrod is locked into the piston with a rubber ring, you are good to go.

I had to order the pushrod so I don't k how if it comes with a rubber ring. I will try to find out, thanks

Its more of a rubber button than a "ring". Here's a word to the wise ... do NOT insert the pushrod with the button until you're absolutely sure its the final assembly. The pushrod is an absolute nightmare to remove once installed !!

Can you send a link to the retainer ring that you sent a picture of.
Thanks

I don't know how to do that, but just google Dr. Diff. He has lots of good stuff. Make sure the master cyl. piston is machined for it.
