Picked up a standard bore 69 440 for $100. It had a broken motor mount ear. Did a fix with nickel rods. Looks like it will work.

Ive done that one myself... looks very good.:thumbsup::carrot::moparsmiley::usflag:

Sweet looks nice and solid!

Thanks Guys! I used Certanium 889 SP rods, a nickel alloy. They flowed like butter and said that no pre heat necessary. I warmed it up anyway.

Good call. I would've heated the surrounding area like you did regardless, but I'm no expert..
Did you peen the repair afterwards?

Just a light peen. I figured it would be for a resto type build not a race motor.

Nice save ! Those certanium rods are well liked by a guy I work with.
