Installing 67 rear glass?

Does not seem to lots of 66-67 info out there. Been researching and came across this mustang video:

Would this method work well on my car? - I will attempt the front windshield later.

It's not real hard. Sort of tuff with a used gasket though. You need to go to a glass supply house and get the proper liquid sealant.
 
Rear windows on 67 are roped in.

Put the gasket on the glass, put the rope in the channel. Lay the window on the car a pull the rope onto the pinch weld.
 
Absolutely agree, rope trick is piece of cake , only help I had was my wife, not to say she’s not great help ! Pulls teeth professionally, or did!
 
So its doable. The 3M 8509 sealer and urethane U418 glue used in the video is the right stuff to use?
 
Why is it that when someone has a question about doing something,
The first thing someone suggests is Pay someone else to do it?
Where is the feeling of accomplishment in that?
I'm not afraid of making mistakes. I'm also not afraid of doing something I've never done before. I guess if we all made $200K a year, paying other people to do something that we are completely capable of doing is the way to go.
But personally, I enjoy the feeling of accomplishment even if I make a mistake I will overcome and get the job done.

To help you if I can , when installing the rear glass on 67 Gtx used the rope trick , probably 3/16” soft and my wife to assist! It’s not difficult just be careful,especially if the car is freshly painted, I used the caulk in tube , don’t accurately remember , but will look for tube , no urethane on rubber gaskets that’s for new cars best I remember, I used a hand spray bottle and soapy water to lube up and caulked glass groove in rubber after it had been in sun three hours to soften and caulk rubber to channel ! Don’t think that it’s not going to be a mess , cause it is ! Follow the instructions in the FSM ,they knew what they were doing, modern glass guys are like modern upholstery people most are to young to have a clue ! Only old guys can usually do these types of installs and know what you want ! Probably not remembered everything but maybe this will give you some insight ! Not rocket science! Some things are best left to pros
 
Sometimes I agree with this, but not always. I asked about setting up the gears in my 489 myself and got the response to take it to a drive line shop. So I took it to a second drive line shop and another mechanic and dropped another $400 on them only to get a noisy differential back and the usual excuse of that’s just how gears are today and the pattern looks good to us. After that I bought a couple tools and I finally tackled it myself and ( I think) figured out what the professional shops were probably doing wrong. Still remains to be seen if my attempt will turn out better but I’m planning to put it back in the car today and will soon find out. lf there is a Mopar-specific shop that specializes in rebuilding specific components, like the Mopar steering box outfits, Firm Feel/Steer & Gear, etc and it’s pretty much a one time thing that isn’t worth buying tools for, I’ll go to them most of the time. But generic shops that don't specialize in old cars, at least right now I’m tired of writing them checks for lousy work and will do as much myself as I can.
