The Carlisle 2021 thread

It seems that a large number of you guys are starting to receive your registration paperwork. If anyone wants me to add your registration parking spot assignment number to my listing, just send me a private message and I will update the listing. I will provide copies of the registry names to be positioned at the FBBO tent and I will have one at our vending tent in the event that members are looking to meet up with particular members.

@HEMI-ITIS, I have you on the list, you were one of the originals that I started the list with. @Chipstar makes us reaching 50 members of the site to have responded that they will be attending the event.

If anyone has any artistic skills or inroads to a banner shop, it would be nice to have a simple poster board or something denoting the FBBO site and tent for recognition purposes. Next year, I will work on getting some of our suppliers to give me some various small tokens that I can put together as a small goody bag for those attending.

Here is my current listing. If any information needs to be updated or deleted, just drop me a message.

Is it too late to add me to the list Hawk? I'd like to join the party if possible especially since RC will be there, lol

Sorry for the slow reply - I was up helping my father-in-law yesterday and today.

You are absolutely not too late - I'm happy to add you to luncheon! Please practice your bow for RC :D and also let me know burger(s) vs. hotdog(s) preference!

AAAAAAHHHHHHH, NO!!! HELL NO a better answer? I have off, so far, so appears 2021 will be my 16th year attending!! Might stop by for a burger and conversation & pay for my food & drink (which is only right!!) as long as no "cover charge" due to RC not getting autograph requests!!

Haha - no cover charge ever at the FBBO tent for members!

For the picnic lunch, the issue isn't payment for the food, it is if I have it. I can't store food afterwards so whatever is not eaten gets thrown away. So I have to estimate how much to bring - no too much, not too little.
I understand schedules might change, but I'll put you down for a burger. If you know you will not be attending just let me know! Hope to see you there!

Will be in the 1965-68 C-body class with this beauty, a KK1Turquoise 1967 Fury III 4-door Hardtop. It is going for the very first time!. As I have been saying for the past few years, the Charger still is not done. It has not been touched since September.

That's cool! It'll be fun to check it out!

Unfortunately I will not be able to attend this year. We missed last year and they transferred the registration to 2021 due to Covid but can't do anything for me this year.
So I have a snowfield registration if anyone is interested and haven't registered yet.
It was a early reg discount thing .... something like 20% off. If anyone is interested, make me an offer and LMK soon as I will have to contact Barb Loy at Carlisle to transfer to your name (per Barb).
Thanks
Bob
Gone now. Thanks

First time going to the show...Better late then Never!!...Can anyone give the low down on what is a must see? What not to miss? We plan on buying stuff, where is the best place to park so we can get back to the car and drop off things..Can we pre pay for parking and admittance? We don't even know where to start.. New to this group out of a 30 year hibernation...73 Roadrunner..Trying to read the tread but it's overwhelming. Thanks for any insight...

My thoughts:
The event is a must see all four days....it takes every bit of that if you walk the swap meet and show field.
If what i've read is true and all the vendor spaces are sold out and now placing vendors in the car corral there're will be a massive amount of people attending.
There is a gathering on Thursday night off site but not far from the main show grounds. A lot of the show cars (and some not show cars) gather for a parking lot display. Food has been available there.
There is a lot of things happening during the day on the grounds ....I think the programs list times and locations.
There is parking near the main gates if you get there early enough. There is "home owner yard parking" for a fee. I don't remember if there is a "parts shuttle" service or not. Others may chime in.
If you walk the swap meet and see a hard to find part you're interested in at a fair (and sometimes not fair) price I'd suggest you buy it otherwise it may be gone when you circle back around. If you do find a part and don't buy it mark the vendor space number down. Most vendors will negotiate but don't expect them to accept crazy low ball offers.
After the grounds close for the day not really much got on other than small gatherings in the hotel parking lots.
Saturday in the late afternoon vendors begin packing up for their trip home. Several stay through Sunday but is a slimmed down group.
The above are my random thoughts...I'm sure others will post up suggestions.
Have fun...it's a well run show and I'm always blown away by the number of cars and people attending a "one mfg" show.

Almost forgot....it may be hot so dress accordingly. If it rains the ground does get a little squishy.

Hello Guys and gals, I have a request.. is there 2-3 or so members here on the site, that might be willing to help myself and my brother, help unload
our 24ft enclosed trailer on Row O125-127? We would be willing to pay something, some money, buy some beer, buy your lunch, etc. Probably the heaviest items would be a frame rail, a quarter section, etc. We plan on getting
there (God willing) on Tues. but that is still up in the air (as of now). I need a double knee replacement, would of had at least one knee done already, if we did'nt have a pandemic here. We would be extremely happy if some people would step up and help us. Thank you all FBBO members, you are the best!!!!!
Thanks, @Dodge33

I won't be there until late afternoon Wednesday (unsure of the time at this point), but I am willing to come down to your spot late(r) Wednesday to help. Thursday will start getting a bit crazy, so I can't guarantee I can help then, but may be able to spare a few minutes early Thursday if things go smoothly. Regardless, if I do end up helping, the only payment, AT MOST, will be to hoist a beer together and meet some fellow FBBO members!
