My son picked up a 70 GTX 440 6 pack car. So we figured to join the site for some tips as we work on the car.

Welcome from PA! There are lots of good, knowledgeable people here, so you've come to the right place!

You have, in my opinion, one of the pinnacle muscle cars - well bought!

Way nice. You know, I wouldn't change a thing, just make everything work. Love the patina. They are only original once!

This car is very correct for the most part and has a date code correct service block.

It’s a B7 blue car with the B5 hood stripe. It’s also one of four painted roof cars I read. Seems to be 1 of 1 with all the options that they offered back then. I need to get some docs for this thing.

That’s a good point, but unfortunately it needs quarters and trunk drop offs. So I have to do a little patina blending if we go that route? Most likely I will give it a nice rotisserie make over on the engine bay, trunk and underside while saving the outside look.

I did that with my 66 Dart. Fixed the rust. I take it to a car show and it get's more attention than my B5 blue Swinger.

Welcome from the Motor City, I love them all, Patina or shine
Very nice X you got there!

I see that engine has one of those rifle drilled NASCAR carb studs! Very rare. Nice car.
