Going to run 275/60/15 on 15x8 and 15x6 up front with appropriate sized tires. Question is painted steel wheels with dog dish or American TT D?
steel wheels I was considering painting them the light green to match body paint or maybe do the off white that's on the roof and side trim, kind of leaning towards the off white
What's everyones opinion? More options
welcomed(car is tutone off white on roof)

Great car. Since your open to pins - I'm kind a boring; but magnum 500's or similar always look so fine on a mopar...

Plus I like what you have on the car now.

Torque Thrust all the way.
I do like Torque Thrusts. They are period correct and the grey spokes look good on light colored cars. But that 64 has a lot of chrome and these look great and make the chrome trim pop I think.

I should also mention I'm heading for the 60's SS look when I was young. Pretty much all the wheels look great on these cars.
I would also like to stroke the 440 in it and go with the maxwedge hood scoop but not sure if I'll get to that point

Beauty of a car. I agree with a needed wheel change.

Body color painted steel wheels with dog dish.

I think Darter6 and i are brothers from different mothers. I'm a wheel junky too, got a blue 62 with almost the exact same four different wheel choices for mine.
I also agree with him, what you have now is very good, i like em!
TTO's, tt2, and ttd look great on everything, that's kinda why you see them everywhere. That sure wouldnt stop me from using them. I would use the gray, if you are after a period look, few were polished in the old days.
One of my very favotite period looks is american racing 200s. Otherwise known as "daisies". (See the 55 in two lane blacktop) The problem is they seem to be three times the cost of torque thrusts.
Then there is always the original centerline auto drags.
As for 60's super stocker look, 15x4 skinny tto or steelies on the front, 15x8 steelies on the back, with as much tire as you can get under it (or maybe piecrust cheater slicks?)

Steel with Dog Dish. In my opinion your present wheels distract from the car's simple beauty. Too complicated. My opinion only. :)

Lovely car by the way.

Those were from a now defunked local exhaust shop that did my exhaust 20 years ago.
They are chrome,no Idea where they came from.

Mike, Those are Goodyear 275/60/15 Drag Radials mounted on 15x7 with a 4 1/4'' backspace.

Didn't know GY had drag radials, I'll take a look. I am considering the MH racemaster drag radials same size. Trying to justify the little extra cost

On a '64, chrome reverse steel wheels, dog dish caps optional. If you are a hard driver, I have broken more than a few alloy wheels.

What are those rims in the first picture (9-8-04)? I remember seeing those as a kid on my hotwheel's cars.
