This is ridiculous!!

Mid 90s overnight temperatures?
Sure seems like it would be hard to sleep with the windows open!
Been there, done that growing up. Had a fan in the window.

Most of the people in the valley have 300-500+ power bills in the summer. Small house, 1175sqft, 78° 24/7 and my highest bill was 135. Now I have a ground mounted solar field and no bill in the summer.

if you live in a place where it cools off at night with little humidity, look into a whole house fan. I don't know how they work in humid climates.

It does cool off here at night, 30° drop. Just doesn't get below 92°.

I turned on the fan to blow in some warm air it was 66 in the house this afternoon

Actually they work great here in north Florida if you can stand the sound of a small turbine in your ear. They go in one end of your house and pull air horizontally and that happened to be my bedroom growing up.

Man I hate the heat and don't envy you guys at all! Today was beautiful sunny blue skies with a nice breeze and a high of 22*C (76*F) with cooling down to around 8*C (46*F) at night or less....I love the North! I'll take the short spring/summer's and a long cold winter over the heat any day....;)

This is why the term "SNOWBIRDS" was penned. Go north in the summer and south in the winter.
We will get thru this. Not too much different than the northerners have to go thru in the winter when it's below zero.
You just stay in as much as possible.

Having been to the southwest, the great states of Texas and Florida a number of times, for me, I'd take the SW/north Tex dry heat anyday compared to the humidity in Florida. And either is better than bone-chilling cold. And that... is my humble, useless opinion.

This Charger R/T is from the Arizona and it is really enjoying the 60 degree temperature in my garage! The last picture is as found in Arizona.

In Hawaii it's 84 during the day and 62 at night 365! I'm still stuck in Illinois!

What's bad is when your shepherds insist on you going outside with them to play ball, five times a day....and it's 115°.
