Altered gasser, gotta Love it! Getting ready for Nostalgic Drag Racing, what drivetrain you putting in that thing? 440'

I’m thinking 440 six pack 727 and 4:10 gears , old school hacked up like what you would see in late 66 /67 ! No glass or bumpers lean and mean ….

 I always wanted a 65 Dodge Coronet. But I always find Plymouths.
Keep up the good work.
I'm very interested in the gasser front end kit you used. I have a 63 Plymouth Belvedere That I want to do that to.

That grill is a PITA to clean, but I love the look of it.

It a a100 van axle shortened 2” and I made everything else draglink etc

I like that you kept the K frame and steering box. My plan of thinking too.
Were you able to keep the stock pitman arm ?

Well I have the shifter cables issue fixed the bracket in the column was missing and I found one on the floor of my new parts car very lucky so now on to brakes and I can start it up it’s been 41 years it has sat !!!!

I got the four running yesterday after sitting for 39 years ,the engine was was rebuilt and never fired !!! But it runs now and I put new brakes on and repaired the shifter . The next step is a new fuel line and install the gas tank and then a road test!!!!!!!!

Ok I adjusted the vavles and installed the gas tank, went for a little ride ! The car dove out really nice now time to buff the original paint and hunt for a nice rear bumper!!

I did a test drive to the gas station and the car drove out nice handle very well ,I thought it would need a front end alignment but it didn’t act like it but I found another problem it overheated so spent all day trying to fix that issue in the 90 degree heat !! I got a temporary fix but still not real sure what the problem was but it’s running a cool 175 degrees now. Next is the interior!
