Maybe, maybe not.
I found a 318 race block on CL, I let it go due to work and a sick kid, but I should have taken a day off to get it. Apparently it was a 318 "race" block with an aluminum intake and turned over with a breaker bar, that scared me a bit bit price was $150. I guess you sleep you lose. I know they're not special. I know I should big block my car but the wife takes all my cash. Time for a new wife lol

I know I'm one of the few trying to make a small block useful. Wife was tradeable 5 years ago before my daughter lol
It was an "x" block, not much info on them

Yeah apparently they made them in the 80s, higher nickel and rough bored.

Thanks for the Info on Race Blocks .. A little Known Facet of
Factory Support …. Is there a way of I.D.ing Those ??
Or
Any High Nickel Blocks ?
PS
GM Sells A “ Graphite” impregnated race block …
Don’t know specs other than it does exist , I saw one at a shop
From GM.

Big blocks for drag racing/bracket racing

Small blocks for daily drivers or road racing/circle track racing

Your Satellite looks too nice to cut up into a race car. Just make it a nice driver and buy a backhalved roller if you want to go racing.

I think so, they were sold with a rough bore through direct connection. Kind of a mystery on em, they did 340s too, gotta check the stamp

View attachment 1125944gotta do something with this eventually
Stop teasing the membership. You need to post more pictures.

Did someone remove the bumperettes? I like the clean, simple lines on the front end. Grille and headlight surrounds look very nice.

I did remove them, still safe and sound, neighbor knocked off the plymouth mark off the the front, still got it. I have the top off the engine, oil pan is shot, have a new one and turn it over and lube through the intake and exhaust monthly for the last ten years lol. Looking for a cheap 4bbl intake and carb, also AC was shot, I did sand blast all the pulleys, intake and valve covers. Then I had a kid and been remodeling the house. 10 years and nothing lol. Interior is solid except one seat back.
Love my Centerline drag lites, 80s but they're awesome. My car sucks but, ill get to it eventually, I hope.
