I hate washing vehicles, but I'm sure glad I didn't take the Bee to pick the Wife up from the hospital this afternoon. We passed the liquid calcium truck coming home, got sprayed and had to drive 2200 feet in calcium soaked gravel to get in our gate. Her car will rust fast enough without a moisture attractant all over it.

Ready to ride. I've went through the brakes, installed electronic ignition, went through the carbs the original owner rebuilt wrong, fixed a few electrical issues.

I missed seeing your question earlier.

Storage for lawn mowers, cultivator, wheel barrow, garden cart, chain saws, hedge trimmer, weed whacker, and 40 years of rakes, shovels, axes, post hole diggers, and other lawn/garden stuff; and a ladder or two. Getting that stuff out of the 3 car garage which will give me room for a 4th car if the need arises (e.g., hurricane).

I'll probably add a workbench in the shed later. First, I need an efficient way to store/hang all those rakes, shovels, and etc. in the shed.

I gave up on building a shop/garage for the time being because of increased material costs and labor shortages.

Hanging out in the shed or on the porch is refreshing as I'm in the middle of a forest. The cars and yardwork keep me busy in the summer...no time to hang out. Fall, winter, and spring will be the best time for relaxing in the shed. I have a screened-in back porch with a ceiling fan for the summertime relaxing.

I haven't retired from work. :cursin:

Hit 99 here in Pasadena Tx on Wednesday according to my temp gauge and 97 yesterday. Been running 5 to 7 degree above normal most of the week.

Never dreamed I'd be running a generator in winter to keep half way warm here! I'm not big on washing vehicles anymore and if it's looking like it's going to rain, they stay under the covers!

Dumped the syn rear end oil and replaced it with regular 80w-90 and the Mopar LSD modifier. It's not chattering nearly as bad now but will consider it a victory when I know I'm not feeling it at all. Today I'm doing some much needed yard work and just added a replacement shop storm door to the list as the lower glass just got shattered by a pebble off of the weed eater......I guess it was a pebble. The glass is broke is all I know.

Record breaking temps in lots of places this year including here in Pasadena Tx. I can deal with that much better than the single digit temps we got in February! Make sure the valves adjustments are in spec. Those engines are picky about that. The shims are still available from the dealer as are the carb intake boots.
And install a manual fuel shutoff.

Yup, I ran them. A hair tight at .0015 on some of them but all in spec.

'Only' 95 today but it's been 95 for over 4 hours now. Got the majority of my yard work done. I can handle 95 but anything over that, things get pretty slow.

Apartment passed final inspection, now to clean, and wait for the eviction moratorium to go away so I can hunt for tenants.

Spraying Sevin on some leland cypress trees, to kill bag worms, and....

BOOM. I guess the old plastic had a lower failure point than the relief valve.

Right next to my leg. Rinsed, washed, rinsed, washed...called the 800# to be safe...all good.

Bonus points if you find all 5 pieces of shrapnel!

The noise it made...I thought my gun had gone off. Right around a 7.5 on the pucker-meter....

Nah, I like to sleep at night.

And, that bottle was probably....9 years old? Plastic was brittle, I'm sure. Replaced it with a new one, USA made, 5 year warranty.

Today's date is now written on the new one, in sharpie, with "5 YEARS" under it!

Got bored with the beach so me and the kids rented a Jet Ski and had a blast. My boy was pissing his pants, he's not used to 50+ mph on rough water but the daughter ate it up lol. We had some extra excitement when a few dolphins joined in and swam alongside out by crab island.. pretty cool.

So what? I'm supposed to be impressed by that? Is the car going to melt if it gets wet?
No, it will not.
Is the paint job so shitty that washing the car with a hose and some suds is going to knock the paint off?
Are they worried that water is going to get in somewhere and start rusting the car away?

Currently I try not to hose-wash my charger, because it needs window and trunk seals...

I don't mind water on the outside of my vehicles, but I do try not to rinse the interiors if I can help it!

Missed the point Greg.. I just hate cleaning things!! No other way to get liquid calcium off other than to wash it and even then it's a bitch to remove.

Is the one that blew up USA made? The one I have is MUCH older and well....going to keep on using it. Were you wearing shorts?

If it's wet out, I do my best to not go out in it. Used to spend hours keeping the nice cars clean but these days, I'd rather spend the time doing something else....like fixing all the crap that seems to break these days. My nicest older car had a cover on it most times even though it was garage kept. When you have flow through ventilation (nearly always a breeze out here and the front and rear overhead doors are open), all kinds of crap blows in too so it stayed covered. If that car got a bath more then 3 times a year it meant that I was too lazy to put the cover on it. I gave up on my wife's car because she would let it sit in the garage after I detailed it until it was raining then she just couldn't use my pickup because she had to have hers. Black Durangos don't look too good when they are filthy.....
