1969 Dodge Charger

I’m not a brake man…..so I’ll need someone to adjust them….

If you're half way handy, you can do it yourself. I forgot to mention the WHS has a 440 someone put in it, floor shift auto. We adjusted the steering gear box in automative class but that didn't help much so probably need to do the suspension. Also upgraded to a Dana 60. (That's it in my avatar). People in this asylum can help you too.

Hey @QOTHL Please post some pictures of your Chargers.

Ok.
I named my cars - in fact, I thought about posting a thread about people naming their cars. A local auto radio show did a full show just about names people gave their cars and why. I apologize to those that have seen these photos on other threads but can't refuse a request to show my babies if asked.

This is Alexander, my WHS, named after Alexander Hamilton. This is a controversial and misunderstood founding father. He was probably one of the greatest men that ever lived. He was one of the fathers of manufacturing in this country having had first hand experience on the front lines of our American Revolution and knowing what it's like to be at war with the country that manufactures your stuff. He believed "we" should be independent in manufacturing AND agriculture. In case no one knows, the colonies were prohibited from large scale manufacturing, having to purchase products from England only. :blah::blah::blah:

Remember YOU asked for it!

This is my R/T SE named Emmett after my father, has his sense of humor too. I restored most of the interior including the seats and polished all of the stainless inside and out.

That is heaven on Earth!!

Can't argue with that, it was like (and still is in some ways) being pregnant for over 4yrs. Those seats are a bitch. Rod Glazer did an excellent job restoring the steering wheel. I have the utmost respect for anyone who can stay with a project like this until it's done. I've heard it breaks the souls of a lot of people.

Isn't that a daisy? :D

My 63 has manual drum brakes and manual steering. It stops like it's supposed to, no matter how fast I am going. Drum brakes have been stopping my car on the 1/4 mile track for 58 years.

Have you had that car for 58yrs? I have trouble keeping track of all the stuff on Chargers (and my second love 'Cudas) so don't really know a lot about other vehicles. Tell me about this car. Did you do it?

Welcome from North Carolina.
I have to disagree Steve. Properly installed, maintained and adjusted drum brakes work quite well. As for manual steering, I like how it helps me feel more in control of my car, but that's just my opinion. No power steering on Nascar, Indy car, etc.

I have a manual car, not bad when it's moving but a bitch to park.

No Ma'am, I am only 50 years old. I have owned my 63 Dodge Polara 440 since 2000. It has been a drag car almost it's entire life, hence the 7,000 miles on the odometer. Currently it has a 11.5 to 1 440 under the hood. I changes the spool out for a Sure Trac rear recently.

Do you drive it or race it or both? Driving around with a spooled rear eats tires. My friend with a 69 GTO talks about getting a spooled rear end just to show off - I told him he's nuts. He also thinks he can beat a Hellcat Demon...I told him to make sure he's carrying Kleenex.

I haven't raced it in 5 years. I am too busy trucking.

The spool on the street is a PIA!! Watch me try to turn.

Raw photos take a long time to download.

Are ya happy now?:D

I need some cake...
Love the tire/wheel combo on Alexander. N50's on the back? You must have to be extremely careful about them not hitting the quarters?
