73 and 74 Roadrunner trunk weatherstrip help needed

I have literally over a 1000 pictures of my Roadrunner but I don't have a pic of the trunk weatherstrip. I could make to 45 minute trek to check out the other one but that would burn 2 hours that I would rather use on assembly so help is what I need.

Here is a pic of the old weather strip, so I know which side gets the glue and pretty sure (by the paint over spray from an old re-spray) which side should be outboard.

What I am not so sure of is if it rides in the channel or on the lip. I thought it was glued to the lip but now I not so sure. So if you have a 73-74 RR and could take a few pics that would be outstanding.

A third option is that I have it all messed up and weather strip is backward or some other simple thing that I should be able to figure out on my own. Thanks in advance.
