i need to get a drive shaft for my new set up. need trans yoke back. i'd appreciate your suggestions as there is ALOT of options. searching thru the forum i see Strange and Drive Shaft specialist being tossed around. Even a few local places in my area were suggested by friends. So i don't have to contact all of em for pricing i'd thought i'd just get some input on real world experiences.

best pricing?
easiest to work with tech support?
shipping expense?

(69) charger 440/727 & 8-3/4" rear end. i'd need trans yoke back to the diffs yoke.

thanks for your 2cents!

A '96 Charger?? Not sure about yrs, but a had a custom built w forged yokes and much larger that factory U-joints for my '67 Coronet for $500. Needed it due to installing a GV overdrive and 670 lb/ft tq. Local shops have always been good to me when it comes to driveshafts.

Hey Mopar2ya!!!
Let’s see some pics of the
Super Rare 96 Charger!

Yeah !!

I bought a Strange driveshaft and yolk from Summit. Its custom made and shipped from Strange. Better pricing and free delivery. Go to the Strange website and see what they have and compare to Summit prices. They also have a worksheet to accurately measure your shaft length. When I was researching getting a new driveshaft I found a few of the recommended shops sold Strange products anyway but marked up. I would assume you'd want 1350 yolk and u-joints. If so the yolk in your rear end and trans yolk will be a different length than the 1350. A conversion u-joint will help with that if you don't want to change that the rear yolk.

I got a prescription from my doctor for dailysex .

My girlfriend insists it says dyslexic.

Whats the difference between three hundred sixty five days of sex and a tire??

One would be a GoodYear, the other would be a GREAT YEAR, lol

I just called a local driveline shop and told them what I needed. They made me one the next day. Don’t remember the price but probably around $300?.

You need to know if your trans yoke, and pinion yoke are the smaller 7260, or the larger 7290.

Strange through Dr. Diff
1350 joints
Just about 350, if I remember correctly.

Don't be silly...she's having daily sex, you're just not invited. (Ask me how I know) I think she and my wife have the same doctor.

Hey Hubbard's,
You have an A1 Driveshaft in Wisconsin. I have used my local A1 here in Baltimore many times. They can build repair or balance them. All at a good price with very little wait
Check them out

I twisted mine out of the car on the dyno
Tore up a lot of stuff underneath the car too
after a lot of research and hair pulling (hey, its what I do)
I went with a Strange Drive shaft from Doctor Diff
The price was right and considering it was made to order it shipped fast

Don't forget to upgrade to the 1350 U-joints if you still have the small ones

BTW
I had to replace the driveshaft, both yokes, a nearly brand new Exhaust including the electric cut-outs and one muffler
I also added a US Car Tool Drive shaft Loop

I learned my lesson

I got lucky there
The car was up on the Dyno so the driveshaft dropped to the floor of the shop
Had it been on the street it would have bounced back and forth between the street and the bottom of the car and really did some damage
