Greetings. Does anyone know how these plastic pieces fasten to the inside of the rear windshield? I cannot find any information on how to secure it and what hardware is required?

I appreciate you all.

Thanks and regards

No hardware is required. They just push onto the pinch weld. What sucks about them though is that they are designed to go on before the rear window is set.

What assembly plant and build date on your car? reason i ask is there were two different types of interior molding used on the back windows in 69

Thanks Beekeeper. My car was built in LA. The 7th digit is an "E".

I believe the late builds used the one piece
windlace type for the top and sides. But not sure about the LA builts cars

I threw the same kit right into the damn garbage can! Junk, they do not stay in place!

im not sure if they are reproduced or not but the one piece windlace ones are the best. they have an “F” profile and stay on

I tried installing that same kit after the rear window was installed, big fail. I also wound up using black windlace and it's stayed in place now for five years.

Would anybody be willing to a picture of the inside trim or wind lace around your rear glass and please send it to me? I am looking for ideas. Thank you in advance.

Waiting on my windlace from Classic Industties (they sell by the for) and then I can show you some pictures. Of it installed using windlace

Would you mind sharing the ordering information from CI? I can’t find anything on their site that’s sold by the foot under description of “rear window windlace”. Thanks in advance

This is the P/N for the off white by the foot WL212. I ordered 20’ which will cover everything on car and rear window.

Thanks for the info! I found it, I need it in black P/N WL300 for anyone else looking. Classic indicates it is in stock. Did you receive and install yours yet? If so, did it work out ok? Just wondering. I have the other style 4 piece kit on backorder that is questionable according to posts here. Wondering if I should cancel and order this style instead. Thanks again for posting.

**CORRECTION-The correct P/N FOR BLACK IS WL200. SORRY. Fat finger stabbed wrong key.

Yes, much better than that POS kit that they sell! Sorry that I don’t have pictures, car is a ways away

I would recommend finding a nice used one that is what I had to do. Post up on parts wanted ad .

Just want to chime in
I am going to try using one from year one and it is for a 68-72 GM A body, it has the F profile and a while back somone on this forum suggested it. My car has the one piece also so it too must be a late 69 that was also built in LA I have yet to put it in but received it and it looks very close to original. Hope this helps
