Yea it’s the real deal. It’s also a project. I was going to trade for it as a novelty car to use in some of my videos. Background scenes. Paint it, Dragster wing, zoomies, bug catcher etc but the deal fell through. It runs & drives. I’m sure the guy who built it also intended it to be a novelty build. I doubt he had any intentions of actually racing it. Anyway it’s in my buddy’s shop in upstate NY if anyone is interested. He’s a wheeler dealer like me & likes MOPARS. Just for smiles & giggles check it out
Field Agent 340 finds a 62 Nash Metropolitan Drag car

Back in 1966 my brother was drag racing his Metro in stock class.
That was my introduction into this crazy car world. Been hooked ever since.

That Nash with a Vortec 4.3L would be fun! 440'

Bob strikes again! Where the hell do you find all of these?? lol
Well this one is at a buddy’s shop but I have over 100 videos made just awaiting to be posted. And invitations to come video many more. Got me quite busy

A guy raced one here in socal a few years back, but i havent seen it in quite a while. I have pics in an old phone, but no way to get them here.
It was the same color scheme, had a vortec supercharged small block chevy.
Oh, and it was right-hand drive.

Sorry Bob, I wished I had a photo. I remember he bought 2 of them, a red one and a black one the black one was for spare parts.
In 67 He bought a shinny white Pontiac Firebird over head cam 6 and a 3 speed and drag raced it. The Metro's musta went to Moon's junk yard.
Thanks for the memories !!

There was a Nash Metropolitan
Turquoise/White (?) may have been Yellow/White (?)
IIRC a Blown 428 or 429 (460 ?), Ford
C6, Narrowed 9", huge meats, tubed, cage,
sounded really good too, here in Calif. in the later
70's early to mid 80's...
He went to all the car shows, I never saw it run down a track...
Last time I remember seeing it
was at the Car Craft show & drags way back in the mid 80's
at Cal Expo (IIRC)
I tried to find the photo I had, with no success...
