My block is a 1976 318 casting number 4006730-318-15 made on 05/05/76. Will a dip stick tube from earlier 318s fit this block. I can find dipstick tubes from vendors up to 1974 but hard to find one for 1976. The ones for 1976 that I do find are chrome and I don't want chrome and look real cheap (China made) and I don't want that. Thanks for the help. I also need the dip stick.

I would think most all the small block tubes will interchange. However, be aware that many of the applications with factory air conditioning use a longer tube and dipstick so it can be reached behind the A/C compressor. If you have A/C and use a non-A/C tube it's hard to access. Conversely, an A/C tube would stick up too high on an non-A/C application.

BeepBeepRR that does look good, just need a tube. Or a Mopar part number for the tube. I would think the tube would be the same length for an A/C car the difference would the dip stick.
