I don't know the correct name for the part or if it's even reproduced but the door glass for my 67 Coronet RT I'm restoring only has the remains of the flocked plastic sleeves that attached to the leading edge of the door glass that slides into the vent window stainless run. One guide is missing half of itself also.
Anyone makes these?

Unfortunately, unobtainable right now and not looking good for any repos in the near future.

Check the post about window sweeps. DadsBee sent a message about Richard@69.
Thanks but those aren’t what I was referring to, here’s a photo

Those acetal sliders look good to me.. and you'll want to reuse them if they are!

I'm just amazed at how many of these posts there are that nobody reads.. LOL

I took a picture of the better glass, other glass half of one is missing and has no plastic sleeve at all.

We're talking two different things... the white acetal sliders and steel pin that joins them. If they aren't cracked, reuse them...

we are talking about the same thing, one slider is broken off the other glass

Okay, calling it a "sleeve" lead me to believe you were talking the mylar flocking..

mylar , couldn't think of that word either. couldn't those guides be made from some composite material and pinned like the original design, they don't look very complicated.
If I don't have the mylar sleeves will the glass just rattle ?

You're welcome to try forming the flocked mylar in their correct curve. I spent months on it, but can't source material thin enough to work 100% and have given up until the supply chain recoops. As for the "H" slider/pin combo. Simple injection mould and a bag of Delrin. That's the easy part for me, as I co-own an injection moulding company, but no point without the mylar..

So I opened my recently received Classic Industries Catalog and low and behold they list part number MN3104. Excited I went to there web site only to see its listed as backorder. So I guess these are in the works who knows maybe something will be available shortly. Can only hope.

Hey, what thickness of Mylar plastic are those channel "sleeves" anyway? Found a company that has Mylar plastic in sheets but I need to know what thickness the film needs to be.......the flocking can be worked out after I get my hands on the sheeting and figure a way to form it correctly.

Wouldn't vacuum forming in a mold do the trick? The material is thin enough isn't it?

I’ve had those sleeves on back order with Classic for several months now. One of mine is too far gone to reuse.

I measured it at .010, ten thousand of an inch
