You heard that right a PT Cruiser drag car, with a 69 440 under the hood. This is awesome what the guy did, and it runs a decent time too!

There use to be one around here that has a SBC in it & ran mid 7’s in the 1/8 th. Had full interior & roll cage

I know a guy... He has a pretty bad *** Hemi powered PT. Maybe he will chime in. I have a picture of it but its his ride and wouldn't post a picture unless he approves.

Glad to see the PT getting some Racing attention. The junk yards around here have plenty of them.

OP video sort of cool

sort of a gasser style PT Cruiser
I don't hate it (at least it's not a Donk :poke: )
not a bad concept

needs more engine better tune (shooting ducks)
& tires under the fenders

very cool  :thankyou:

I don't know either person

IIRC, The silver car is glass & carbon-fiber
got it off the internet

not 100% sure on the yellow car,
NHRA div. 3 north central US
I don't know the guy
I think it had a chop done, IIRC a steel main-body
& extended/widened the original body
with a bunch highly modified fiberglass doors & hatch,
lexan windows
slant/wedged nose, or more likely carbon-fiber bolt-ons
it was fast, easily a 7 second car, Mild blown Hemi on methanol
the passes I saw he was having trouble with traction,
hot muggy day, it was easily 10+ or more years ago too
