Does anyone want a 1960 2 door Starliner?

There's one in my neighborhood I saw on CL. Who knows what he'll really take for it.

I learned to drive in a 60 Ford but always regretted it wasn’t a Starliner. It and the 61 have always been really cool cars. But they are really big and there’s a lot of metal surface on one of those to body work and paint. A friend recently had a 63 427 Galaxie painted and every time he would go to the shop to check on it, the shop owner would just shake his head and remark, “there’s a lot of metal surface here to deal with”. Makes me tired thinking about one as a project.

Also one of my fav Ford bodies of all time. Hope it finds a good home.

Worked at a shop and a customer always brought in a 1961 starliner. Very nicely maintained car. It was a pleasure to work on it.

To me the 1961 has better styling, roofline is great.

When I was in Jr high school my sister a HS'er was driving us to school. It was raining but it was freezing the road, did realize it until half mile from home. This a--hole in a hurry driving a 62 Starliner pulled out of a line of cars into our lane. Hit almost perfectly head on had my legs locked and came within a couple inches of the windshield, We were only doing 15 mph but that Starliner folded up like a tin can. Hood and front left kinked 6" high busted 3 of the headlights. The 60 Olds Super 88 with no seat belts had the front bumper bent up couple of inches. We got a call from a woman we knew and asked how we were and said she saw it from her front porch. Not 10 minutes later we get a call from the Ford driver saying my sister hit him. My father laughed and told we had a witness that said other wise. That experience made me a believer in seat belts.

Yes that 2 door wagon was rare when made, and much more so now. I love the way they did the rear window. It would look great next to my 60 Plymouth. If only I had more room and time....

You would be better off to buy the $50,000 car. That's what it would cost in parts to restore that $3,000 car.
