1965 Coronet build

Valve covers are new unused. Do have the chrome air cleaner. Its almost perfect.
Hey guys if you see something that doesn't look right shout out. Trying to do this project right.
Thanks

Ok but your not gonna wanna hear this one....Those valve covers are not correct. Original covers did not have the notches to "hold" the gasket in place.

And if you find one of these power steering return hose heat shields see if he's got two!

Since your manifold is off and iron, do yourself a favor. Get ahold of a gasket/pan from Mopar Performance, Fel Pro or anyone else that has the exhaust crossover blocked off. You'll be ahead of the fuel boiling issue in minimizing the effect. Fel Pro 1215 or MP P4452103.

Unless he's planning on using the original AFB with the well choke.

Jim914, Can you give me the measurement of the back edge of the hood to the back edge of your hood scoop? Getting ready to install mine on my 65 440 Coronet

Question on the paint on 65 cars.
I have heard that under the hood and trunk the paint is not as glossy as the exterior finish. They are like a semi gloss? How was the finish inside the door jams? Same as under the hood?

I don't think that is true I have a 65 dodge that is a survivor and the paint is all the same under the hood ,trunk and door jams plus my 66 survivor coronet is the same .

My 65 was all the same paint. 39,000 mile survivor when I got it.
Here are photos of my 64.Also the same.Body, under hood, door jams, trunk. 12,000 mile survivor.
I took these for a guy that wanted to do a 100% resto and was looking for drips and runs.My car had lots of them.Thin paint too.
