I just bought those a year ago and still live those and I’m in my mid 40s! Love em!

I fantacized that it was a real car. Mine had a "rewound" motor that cost $3, as much as the Car cost. That I imagined as being a Hemi. It would spin those skinny little tires in a corner and slide.

it would come off the ground if you swung high enough, then we'd jump off

oh, and the sliding board, lol........Karen would never let her kids play on such a thing today

I had the holster & chaps along with a cowboy had dad bought
I was big into the western stuff as a kid
(my father had a ranch in El Dorado co.)

Until they landed/walked on the Moon... in July 20 1969

I loved my Schwinn Pea Picker 5 speed wild dragster, green 'krate'
IIRC it had a wheelie bar of some sort too
ramhorn handelbars, tall sissy bar, slick rear tire, metal-flake bannana seat
worked my butt off mowing lawns to get it, was like $98
took all summer mowing everyone in our courts' lawns
to get/earn the $$

green army men hot wheels and building bunkers in the dirt with popsicle sticks then burning it all down with a can of lighter fluid , riding in cars with no seat belt with steel dashes , you learned to stay seated when dad jacked the brakes and bounced you off the dash , how did we survive, I guess you have to learn common sense with a little practical experience

I did shot my brother Tim & sister Candy every so often,
we'd play Cowboys & Indians

my brother Tim got me back,
he shot me with a target arrow in the calf
barely broke skin, at about 10 y/o-ish
 
my mom would buy
them paddles with a rubber line/string & red ball attached
we'd hit rocks or dirt clods after they broke

I think she got them for US
so she could use them to paddle my butt
when or "if" she could catch me (you wait till dad is home)
when they were no longer useful as a toy
