Title should have said Mr. Moparts. Damn Ipad.

Anyone who has ordered from Mr Moparts - do they normally tell you when something is on back order/out of stock?

Ordered a couple items on 4 July and all I’ve been able to learn from the website is that the order is awaiting shipping (10 days). The order was two items Classic had had on back order for a couple of months and since they went into the cart at Mr. Moparts without any note they were out of stock, I went ahead and ordered them and canceled the back order at Classic. So . . I wouldn’t be surprised they are out of stock at Mr Moparts too, just figured they would let you know. I sent them an inquiry so maybe they will respond. Not a complaint - out of stock and back orders are rampant in the whole economy.

I ordered a glove box liner from a company, not them, that was not shown out of stock and it just arrived after 6 weeks and 2 inquires. There are a lot of vendors taking your money for items they don't have on the shelf.

Have ordered several things in the past and never a problem, but that's been awhile. Things are screwey right now. I work at an auto repair business and tried to get a reman engine (5.0) Ford truck last week and they said "Get in line." So...who knows when it'll get back to normal. Whatever normal is.

Pros and cons with them. Many times they sent the wrong parts. What hurts is they sent me parts for a chevy :BangHead:

I ordered 2 radiator pads from Brothers for my '87 K5 Blazer in May 2020, got them last week. I had forgotten all about them.

Looks like I’m on back order although they haven’t replied to my email yet. Probably should have stuck with Classic since they at least tell you up front it’s back ordered and the don’t charge until it comes in. I would like to think Classic’s volume moves them up on deliveries from vendors but that may not be correct.

I've never had an issue with Mr. Moparts, I would use them any day over Classic Industries, Dante's is another great vendor. Profits from Classic go to developing more GM parts, pick your poison I guess.

I ordered a 70's style oil filter from them early this year. Order said it was back ordered. I contacted a few times by email with no response, but eventually got it. I've always had a great experience with them at the Spring/Fall Fling so I let it go and put in what I had on shelf. The oil filter from them will go in whenever I get to the oil again. But it looks awesome. :)

Note: Come to think of it, I actually ordered something from them last night so I guess I'm over it.

To be brutally honest unknown back orders is why I buy via Ebay.,,,,MOST of the time anyway .
Although its no guarantee I guess it may still end up back ordered....But in all my years / purchases its not happened yet

Ordered a couple hundred dollars worth of stuff yesterday actually. All of it is supposed to be here by the end of next week

They are across town from me. I talk with Mike and Mark quite often. Two man operation and as with other small businesses Covid has affected them. Just an FYI, they provide Classic Industries a lot of product.
