I avoid the Gulf Coast in the Summer, especially, because of the heat and humidity. I don't know how people live in Houston or Galveston, specifically!

In 1978, a buddy and I did a road trip from dry western Colorado to Los Angeles in July. Nothing like 5% humidity and 118 degrees in Barstow! Or 90% humidity and 95 degrees in Van Nuys! That was absolutely the most oppressive combination ever, plus the added smog of the day, too.

Bet it is humid in central and Eastern Ok this year!!!! But I agree the humidity here sucks!! I lived in Mo 37 years and it is decent there usually, nothing like here!

It cooled down in the last few days. Only 82 this morning. The wife and I went for a 23 mile bicycle ride.Got back before the heat of the day.

The motor is good, they've been changed out a few times in the last 50 years. The cast housing finally eroded through and I KNOW why it had never been changed.
Had to patch & reinstall as evidently there is only ONE replacement in the USA & it wont be here for a while.
The next R&Rs won't take as long.
If I have to do them...:D

Well today. At the Races in Medicine Hat. :)
Some cool rides here.

Went to a small but up and coming car show and drag race event at the former Gateway Race track now called World Wide Tech Track or something like that. Nice to see an effort of trying to put it together for us mopar guys. I think Tom Roseman may have been a ring leader or part of the group that put it together, so a huge shout out to him! My group enjoyed it and look forward to next year.

The 63 330 Dodge was really quick. 426 max wedge was doing very well.

Finished putting together the Harbor Freight parts washer that i replied about in posting #866.
Did a remote filter modification to it, added casters on the legs, and a drain valve on the bottom of the tank.
It's a nice product, if any of you are thinking about purchasing one.
