Road idiots!

I’m tired of getting thumbs up from people!! Just let me drive in peace!
I’m tired of people also honking the horn or making gestures to get my attention to see their thumb up!!
I’m also so annoyed of people coming up to me at gas stations with their dumb stories that probably never happened that I just tell them it’s not my car it’s my brothers
I’m also tired of being asked if it’s for sale or finding notes if it’s for sale so what I do is I look for the oldest hinda civic on the lot abd put the note there
I’m also tired of these so called barret Jackson I watched one episode abd I’m an expert telling me about options in my car when they don’t own one
I’m also tired of people trying to race me

You're just being a dick. I love compliments on the car, the thumbs-up and all. If I have the time and feel like talking about my car(s) to someone at the gas pump, I'm all for it....I get tired of ******** endangering not only me and themselves, but everyone else when they come up to me with a POS car or truck and be an asswagon wanting to run 'em. Plenty of good dashcam videos on YT you can research, if you like. Not every excursion on the road these days is a good one, for certain. People are ********. I just want to drive my ******* car. What's wrong with that?

I know just how you feel, just because you drive a muscle car ******** think they have to challenge you! I had a coward pull one on me. I was merging onto a state route as he was passing in a loud shitty looking Monte, I accelerate and get up to speed and CRUISE on by, a mile down the road I look in the mirror and see him coming at 100+mph! Garrantee he went home bragging about beating a 69 Charger when in reality he waited until he could build his speed up to fly by unexpectedly. The crotch rockets are another one, they'll pull up beside me and rev their engine.. ummm, yes your on a race bike that will likely go at least 165mph so go on about your business and leave me alone.

Tailgaters,speeders,road rage,doesn't anyone respect laws anymore ?
My god if your are that much in a hurry try leaving a few minutes earlier.
I see it everyday.Posted speed limit of 45 and people weaving in and out of traffic at 80 just to get to the exit 1/8 mile down.
Don't even get me started on rich people in the MB's, BMW's,Caddies and Range Rovers.Don't even have the audacity to get in THEIR way.

You're the problem on the road Patrick along with everybody else!!!! Sounds like it's all about you and your car! Why is it you idiots always forget the first rule in driving???
"WATCH OUT FOR THE OTHER GUY" comes to mind, but that's to beyond you and most drivers on the road!

How the **** am I the problem? I'm driving, minding my own business, when OTHER drivers decide it's their place to be fucktards! As you can see, if you actually read my initial post here, is that I was indeed watching out for others. WTF is so hard to grasp here? I want to protect my car and my passengers. I'll let the other guy play the fool. His choice to be the idiot. My choice to keep my car intact and on the road.

My pet peeve is tailgaters; happened other morning driving my '63 with the top down. This young gal's face I can see clearly in my mirror she was so close. I was driving pert near 10 over the limit as it was. I put my hands up like WDF ya doing. She backed off for a few seconds then same ****. Again put a hand up; nope no reaction. THIS happens frequently. Sometimes I think people must think an old ride is in their way of their more important business driving their SUV's or rice grinders even though I'm already 5 or 10 over the limit.

I taught my daughters NOT to tailgate - your at the complete mercy of the driver ahead or what they might encounter in front of them they may not see...and it can piss some people off. Road rage today isn't what it used to be with some people armed that shouldn't be.
Absolutely! For whatever reason I've always been a very defensive driver so tailgaters piss me off. The ones that really get me aggrevated are the ones where your cruising down the freeway at a safe distance passing a semi and here comes a car screaming up the slow lane and darts across the dotted line to just barely squeeze in front of you! I'd love nothing more than to smash everyone of them, so ignorant!

Fortunately my kids have picked up on it, they insist that I drive on vacation because they can actually sleep. The wife on the other hand throws them around because she leaves little time to react:rolleyes:.

And your being a little pro queen bitch for acting like everyone wants to tail gate or race you. You’re just another guy who thinks he owns the road!

The construction of round-a-bouts all over the place has given birth to a new form of road idiocy. I think a more descriptive name for them is 'sling-shots', lol. It is almost comical with some accelerating into the intersection thinking they'll be able to outrun those having the right (or left) of way. Every week the roundy by my place has two or more collisions and honking horns are common. Love the urban look with the freeway style signs and noise (I used to be out in da sticks).

Roundabouts are definitely a "new" thing around here. In Europe, of course, they're everywhere.

In WI they went in like crazy over the past 20 years gather some fed funding for them. Bunch of them had to be torn up to make them larger. I reckon the one by me will be redone as it's too small for the volume of large truck traffic. Some don't get the clue that when a large truck is going through they take up both lanes while they're in a hurry to try to pass the truck.

My biggest driving peeve, is sitting behind someone at a light. The light turns green, and i have to honk, because they're still texting. UGH !

Lol, years ago a bud riding with me said after the driver ahead didn't move "The light isn't gonna get any greener - move!"

It might be time to face up to your perhaps not being cut out to own one of these cars then.
What you describe is part and parcel of it; we're the current stewards of these cars, after all.
It's good for the future of the hobby and the survival of these cars if we're good stewards of them.
I've gotten quite used to being approached over the years and even enjoy it for the most part.

Roundabouts are the work of satan....I'm sure of it.

Back in MO. I drove a Duster (one of several) 60 mi round trip to work . Every time I'd stop for gas, someone would come up and tell me their Mopar story, especially when they found out it had a slant! Here in Tx never had anyone say a word! Must all be Chevy folk?
I always listened and replied, and when ready to hit the road I would just politely excuse myself.
We really own nothing, God just lets us use and take care of stuff for awhile>

We have a bunch of them around here and I hate to admit, I am getting used to them and I can shoot through town a lot faster than waiting for the light to turn green.

95%+ of the time it's all fun and sociable - then - there are a few dipshits who, for some reason, make a snide comment about not being a fan of the car "It looks nice; but thought they were kind of a weird body style back in the day." One of my replies: "Really dude? Ya came all the way over here to look at my car and engage in chat to announce this?" I get that my '63 Fury has a love / hate relationship; BUT is there a reason I need some schmuck to lemme know this?
