Built a box from some 5/8" plywood I found in the dumpster.

Moves a LOT of air! Almost pushes it's self.

Stoked

Priced them on Northern Tool-----starting at $700!

Wow, that's a biggie! I installed a 30" variable speed direct drive Sears whole house fan with shutters in my house 31 years ago & it's still going strong! That thing makes mine look tiny! Hell, my "dinky" little fan can suck the pilot out on my furnace in the basement as it is. That monster could probably suck the windows in! Nice score!!!

These are great to cool the house at night, then close it up all day. Saves on the A/C bill for sure! I have a small Dayton fan with shutters ( 12-16") that makes a huge difference in my little shack.

Great idea! I have a 36” belt drive stored in my shed- I’m going to do the same thing.

I trash picked something similar a few weeks ago..... building a small greenhouse for the wife, it should work nicely
