Has anyone bought and used this radiator?

That looks pretty cool I would buy it. I bought an ebay radiator was pleased with it. But it was not an oem type. It was a 26 but was more squared off.

Yep I have an aluminum now that the PO put in and it works fine but I don't like the look.
This one with a shroud would look very stockish but has the large cooling tubes inside.

I have the same radiator but it is not black. It fit nicely in my 68 Roadrunner. Haven't started the car yet,so can't comment on function, but don't anticipate any problems as far as cooling. I know of others on this site who have used these with no issues and that was the deciding factor for me. Hope this helps. ruffcut.

Hi I was thinking about buying this 26" aluminum radiator because it has a factory look sans the #'s but the benefits of 2 large tubes and the ease of a drop in installation.

I just want feedback from anyone that actually used this unit with real-world input to share.

Thanks Ron

A few guys here have used those. If I'm not mistaken one of them is @threewood and he's reported it to work well....and he be in Arizona where it be hot!
I had decided to get one but then got a very good deal on some new un-used parts from a local friend, including a Cold-Case still in the box.

I bought and installed one in a 67 Charger 383 automatic car for a friend. This was a couple of years ago and no issues.

Yep! I went by Jerry Hall had said about therse radiators working well in Alabama weather. I used a stock shroud on mine with no fitment issues also. Thanks Jerry!

I got a 26" from the Same vendor, not sure if it's the exact same one.
I am very happy with it.
Car runs right at 180, and that's with no shroud.

Do you think it would be okay if you’re car came from the factory with a 22 Would it still boat up without any modification

Well I asked the seller two questions and he couldn't answer the first one and neglected to answer the second.

I asked if the radiator cap ears will line up parallel with the top tank as factory and I asked which P/N shroud does this radiator accept?

he couldn't answer the cap question and didn't answer the shroud question not a warm feeling on this seller

Ron

I bought one of those for my 71. The cap ears sit at 1 and 7 o'clock, not parallel. I am using the 71 26" shroud and it fits fine.

See that would be a deal-breaker for me, if they are trying to mimic a stock radiator they have to have the cap in the right position too.
Thank you for the information.

Think I may buy a bare one and save $50 have my buddy cut off and re weld the cap neck and then paint it afterwards.

The one I installed needed no adjustments to anything. I also did the painting myself.

Send an offer like I did. Direct fit, 5yr warranty. My buddy in Phoenix has one in his 73 big block air car, and swears by it after 3 years so I bought one around this time last year, works great!

Sorry but that is the aluminum radiator style (look) I'm getting away from. I have a perfectly working flat-top aluminum in the car now. The main reason for the change is so the ACC unit will look similar to stock once painted sans the #'s.

Gotchya...obviously I missed that my bad. I didn't have any matching numbers anything for my car it was just a rust free big block shell so I didn't really have to worry about that. They want way too much to restore the original one I have for it so that's why I went this route, it was cheap and easy. I'll paint mine before the summer is up because it does look better
