After seeing this car show up on Craigslist list a second time, for over double the price, I thought I’d post about.

It was for sale in Avondale or Buckeye, as I recall, in late May. The seller said he had owned it for a long time, mostly in Oregon. I think he said it was originally an Oregon car or spent most of it’s life there. Car has a super high compression ratio, really set up for racing fuel, with a fuel cell in the trunk.

Anyway that seller was asking around $35K for it. Now it’s listed for sale again, this time in Cave Creek, by a flipper for $80K, after doing absolutely nothing to it.. He calls it a “resto mod” which makes it worth big money haha. The current seller probably paid less than $35K for it about a month ago..

My photos are from the original $35K ad in May.

This is common around here!
At least when I flip something I fix it . Just bought a 87 firebird in decent shape but guy couldn't get it to run . I bought it fixed starting issues then found all valves were way to tight so fixed that then found he screwed up with the flex plate bolts fixed that now it's for sale as a running driving car

Flipping is fine. At least you fixed the issues. I rehab houses from time to time. When I do, I build them as if I was going to live there. When I hand over the keys to a new owner I'm certain they're getting a nice house. Seems you feel the same way about your cars.

Yep I remember that car. I believe it was being sold by a school teacher that sort of inherited the car. Right now is not a good time to buy anything. The market is overheated on everything and sellers are fanning the "inflation flames". This flipper is a good example.
The bubble will burst soon just be patient.

Hey if someone buys it and is happy, I say good for him!

When I was younger I would with cheaper, everyday cars. People were happy, they would get a well gone-thru car

I'm sure he'll "enjoy" it for a few years.

"notarized title"
Never transferred the title.
Looking for the fast buck.

Wild *** guess here ,,,,,,,,,BUT What he asks and what he gets are / will be 2 very different numbers
