Friend of mine picked up this car today for real cheap. It was sitting in the prickle bushes for years. Shell is pretty good. Missing motor, rear end. Any idea how many were made?? Can you tell if this tranny is a Hemi tranny by the input shaft.

Looks like the 5th spot in the vin is a (h) which indicated 426 for the 66 model year.
He going to build it, or flip it?
He will flip it. He has way to many projects. He has some old contact info and will do some research on past owners. See what he can come up with. Not to bad of a deal for 1 K.

you can't ask for too much
buying or paying for a VIN # & fender tag
pretty much with them cars anyway
sometimes condition doesn't even matter
look at what some of the basket cases Big $$$ cars are selling for
(of course they are 68-70 too)
someone will swoop that up for 5+ times the price at a min.
probably as is too, just a lil' cleaning up maybe $10k+
if it has some history & background with it, clean title etc.
good luck with the flip

Pk # on trans will tell the story.
Looks like Hemi K frame is gone.
My money the hemi trans is as well.
But....maybe he gets lucky amd its in there.
Needs to really ck the body to guess a value as is
