You mean you can't do it manually?

Old Mopars (old cars in general) don't have "Lane change cancelling turn signals"

I don't think I have one on my 2018 Challenger. I asked if he could do it manually, that's what I have to do on any of my cars.

If your using the signal to merely change lanes, move the lever enough to operate the signal without going past the catch, then let go when your finished. If you go past the catch, you have to manually push it back past the catch to the released position yourself.

Try whipping the steering wheel back and forth really hard and see if that works. :D:poke:

When did touch feature signaling arrive? In my '63, the lever has to be 'engaged' locking the lever to have a signal. Turning the wheel enough trips the signal off or move it back manually.

Hand signal and stomp it.

Are you saying you can't turn the blinker off by moving the lever back to center?

Making a full turn, not just changing lanes, engages the self canceling cam in the steering wheel so that when the turn is completed, the turn signal automatically clicks off. My Chargers are either on or off, there is no half way or partial option on the lever.

Nope pulled over and turned the wheels to clear it. Oh my. Tried to just pull the lever enough to see if that worked but don't have the hang of that yet. Will try again and see If I can do that. Thanks.

Was afraid to try that don't want to brake it. LOL. Thought the cam on the steering wheel engaged the cancel arm to turn it off. So thanks too all for the insight and valued info. My wife said roll down the window and use hand signals. Smart girl hey.

Remember some older rides I had where the touch feature was pretty sensitive before locking the lever in; but it was a feature. Simple, turn on your ignition and play with the lever to determine if it has the 'touch' capability or not.

Is it a replacement switch? I put in a replacement switch and I could not manually cancel the turn signal. When I used the signal making a turn it self canceled perfectly.I figured out a fix And it is all explained in a different post.

Unless you have something retarded going on with your turn signal, it's pretty stout and notches in the "neutral" off position pretty solidly. It's nothing like the turn signals on new cars. Are you a young guy?

blue69runner, you were the one that I was specifically answering when I gave the fix in that earlier post. Did that fix not coincide with your problem?I do not know how to give a link to that post.

Some of the new reproduction turn signal switches are a bear to hand cancel. I filed on the plastic on one I had to make it work better years ago. Also if you don't have the metal canceler thingy in the right position, it could take more turning of the wheel to get it to activate.
